Hyperliquid (HYPE) Price Prediction: Record ATH Rally Puts $100 in Sight as Bulls Defend New Highs
Hyperliquid's HYPE token has entered uncharted territory after climbing to a fresh record near $89.60, extending a powerful multi-week advance and bringing the psychological $100 mark into focus.
Hyperliquid’s HYPE token has entered uncharted territory after climbing to a fresh record near $89.60, extending a powerful multi-week advance and bringing the psychological $100 mark into focus.
The latest Hyperliquid price move has been accompanied by elevated trading activity, while several large-wallet transactions have added to evidence of continued demand. However, HYPE’s rapid ascent has also pushed momentum indicators into overbought territory, leaving the market vulnerable to a period of consolidation.
At current levels, the next major test is the $90 threshold. A sustained break above that area could keep the token in price discovery, while a rejection may send Hyperliquid back toward its recently established support zones.
HYPE Enters Uncharted Price Territory
The latest rally marks another milestone for Hyperliquid’s native token.
HYPE reached approximately $89.60, establishing a new all-time high and placing the asset among the largest cryptocurrencies by market capitalization. CoinGecko data shows Hyperliquid with a market capitalization of roughly $19.8 billion and a circulating supply of about 220 million tokens.

The move is particularly notable because there is limited historical price data above the previous peak. Once an asset reaches a record high, traders often shift their attention toward round-number levels and technical extensions rather than established resistance zones.
That makes $90 the immediate reference point, followed by $95 and the more significant $100 milestone.
The distance between $90 and $100 is relatively modest compared with Hyperliquid’s recent volatility. A move from $90 to $100 would require an advance of approximately 11%.
Large Holders Continue to Draw Attention
Whale activity has become another focal point for HYPE traders.
A reported transfer of 174,800 HYPE worth about $14.96 million from a Bybit hot wallet was identified as accumulation by market commentator Ted Pillows. While such movements can indicate that tokens are being moved away from an exchange for longer-term holding, the transaction alone does not establish the holder’s future intentions.

Other whale activity has also been reported during the recent advance.
One wallet accumulated approximately 773,107 HYPE, worth around $63.6 million at the time of reporting, through purchases involving Hyperliquid and centralized exchanges including OKX, Bybit, and Gate. The buying occurred as HYPE traded below previous resistance levels.
The broader pattern suggests that large investors have remained active during the rally. Still, on-chain wallet labels and exchange transfers need to be interpreted carefully because they do not necessarily reveal whether a transaction represents strategic accumulation, internal wallet management, or short-term trading.
Why Hyperliquid’s Token Economics Matter
HYPE’s rally is also taking place against the backdrop of strong activity across the Hyperliquid ecosystem.
Hyperliquid operates a Layer-1 network designed around on-chain trading, including perpetual futures and spot markets. HYPE serves as the network’s native token and has roles within staking, governance, and the broader protocol economy.
The platform’s buyback mechanism has become particularly important to the HYPE narrative.
Recent Financial Times reporting found that Hyperliquid had repurchased and canceled approximately $1.3 billion worth of HYPE since its launch in December 2024. The report said Hyperliquid and pump.fun accounted for nearly 90% of crypto token buybacks recorded in 2026.
These buybacks effectively remove tokens from circulation, creating a supply-side mechanism tied to protocol activity. However, buybacks do not guarantee that a token’s market price will continue rising, particularly during broader market corrections.
Technical Momentum Remains Strong
HYPE’s chart structure continues to favor buyers.
The token is trading above its short-, medium-, and long-term moving averages. The reported 5-day moving average sits near $88.52, while the 20-day average is around $86.51. The 50-day, 100-day, and 200-day averages are positioned near $85.42, $84.53, and $83.59, respectively.

The upward alignment means shorter-term averages remain above longer-term measures. This is generally associated with a strong trend.
It also provides traders with several reference points if Hyperliquid begins to retrace.
The $86.5-$88.5 region represents the nearest moving-average cluster, while the $85.4 area around the 50-day average provides another potential layer of support. A deeper correction could bring the $84.5-$83.6 region into consideration.
Overbought Signals Raise Pullback Risk
The bullish structure does not mean the rally is without risk.
HYPE’s 14-day RSI is around 80.9, placing it well above the conventional 70 overbought threshold. The Stochastic RSI is also at an extreme reading of 100.
Other momentum indicators remain positive. The MACD is generating a buy signal, while an ADX reading near 58 points to a strong directional trend.
This combination creates a mixed short-term picture.
Trend indicators continue to favor upside momentum, but oscillators suggest that the pace of the advance may be difficult to maintain indefinitely. Previous HYPE rallies have also shown that record highs can be followed by sharp profit-taking.
Therefore, an overbought reading should be viewed as a warning about short-term conditions rather than proof that a reversal is imminent.
$90 Becomes the Line for Further Price Discovery
The most immediate technical challenge is the $89.60-$90 region.
Recent pivot calculations place resistance near $89.81, with subsequent levels around $90.48 and $91.34. A sustained move above $90 would put HYPE deeper into price discovery and potentially shift attention toward the mid-$90s.

The $100 level then becomes the next major psychological target.
However, traders may want to distinguish between a brief move above $90 and a sustained breakout. Holding above the level on daily closes would provide stronger evidence that buyers are accepting the higher valuation.
Failure to establish support above $90, on the other hand, could leave the token exposed to profit-taking.
Where Could HYPE Find Support?
A pullback would bring several technical levels into view.
The first important area sits around $86-$88, where multiple shorter-term moving averages are currently concentrated. This zone could become the first test of whether buyers are willing to defend the breakout.
The next reference is approximately $85.4, corresponding with the 50-day moving average. Below that, $84.5 and $83.6 represent the 100-day and 200-day averages.
A decline into these areas would not automatically invalidate the broader bullish trend. Instead, the reaction at each level would provide information about the strength of underlying demand.
A sustained break beneath the $86-$87 cluster would carry greater significance because it would signal that short-term momentum is weakening.
HYPE Price Prediction: Is $100 Within Reach?
The technical setup leaves $100 as a potential next milestone, but the path toward it is unlikely to be linear.
For the bullish scenario to strengthen, HYPE would need to hold its record-setting gains and establish $90 as support. A sustained breakout could expose the $91-$95 region before the token approaches the $100 psychological level.
Whale activity and Hyperliquid’s token-buyback mechanism provide additional factors for the bullish case. Yet neither guarantees further appreciation.
The immediate risk comes from stretched momentum. With RSI above 80 and Stochastic RSI at 100, a consolidation phase would not be unusual even if the longer-term uptrend remains intact.
For now, $90 is the key upside threshold, while $86-$88 represents the first significant support area. If buyers maintain control above that support zone, HYPE’s price-discovery phase could continue. A decisive loss of the area would instead raise the probability of a deeper retracement before another attempt at the $100 mark.
